We want to present the jellyfish and their role in the marine environment in detail to the public. This will increase the awareness of the local population and other visitors about the importance of protecting our fragment of the sea for which we are responding and depend on it. The installation of an aquarium suitable for jellyfish is a technically demanding project, and in the case of Aquarium Piran, due to spatial restrictions, it is all the more complex. Despite the fact that comparable aquariums are already seen in many public aquariums abroad, this would be the first such aquarium in Slovenia to present common jellyfish (Aurelia aurita), which is also the most common in our country. In addition, we will prepare a publication with the presentation of all kinds of jellyfish, which they can meet in our country and in the wider Adriatic area and workshops to round up the knowledge of this group.
