The aim of the operation is to establish a model trout production plant, which in the 1st phase will be energy self-sufficient, will take care of the preservation of biodiversity and reduce the amount of slaughterhouse waste. Investments in a self-sufficient photovoltaic power plant and a charging station for electric cars will significantly reduce the carbon footprint of trout production. Investing in a waste dehydrator will significantly reduce the amount of waste and, in the future, may also provide different possibilities for using it. The planting of honey plants and the establishment of hotels for insects will ensure the preservation of biodiversity, and the installation of information boards to inform the public about this important topic. At the end of the operation, a new job is expected at the partner Vodomec d.o.o., as energy-efficient production and new educational programs will enable the company to develop new products and thus a new workplace.
