In the fisheries sector, there are challenges of maintaining activity, vitality and intergenerational transmission, revitalization of activities and, above all, finding opportunities for diversification and creating additional resources. The FISHEKO project is intended primarily for representatives of the fisheries sector in order to enable faster development and introduction of new technologies, approaches and solutions in the entire process of operation of the fisheries sector, especially related to the environmental component and diversification of activities into the environmental sector. The aim of operation FISHEKO is to involve as many fishermen as possible who would participate in the project as external contractors and carry out information and information work with their own vessels. In the summer months, fishermen would make the crews of anchored vessels aware of the importance of reducing waste (plastics) in the sea. At the time of raising awareness, each anchored vessel would also be given a bag with biodegradable accessories.
