The long-term purpose of the operation is to obtain a popular scientific publication that would integrate and present the marine environment, the organisms in it, our activities and consequences in this environment, and raise public awareness of the changes and problems that our sea is exposed to today. We will also present the role of Aquarium Piran as a meeting point for many activities at sea, its educational, popular scientific, research and nature protection activities in our region. In addition to the interesting and photographic full presentation of the organisms of our sea, we will simultaneously bring to the reader the problem of non-native and warm-natured species, the importance of protecting rare and endangered species and present ecologically important types of organisms in our country. The publication will be marketed at an affordable price. However, since we want to extend the publication to the entire coastal public, and also to wider ones, we will deliver copies of books to libraries and schools of coastal municipalities and tourist information centers.
