Fish products evaluation will be the first such event in Slovenia. The main objective will enable the farmers to make comparisons according to objective criteria and at the same time increase the value of domestic fish and fish products to the consumer. With the introduction of the evaluation, fish farmers will be able to upgrade the quality of their products and generate higher added value, and consumers will have the assurance that they buy quality food from the local environment, which can be labeled as indirect effects of the operation. The direct effects will be reflected in the number of organized fish products evaluation and on the basis of the already organized workshops for the general public from the field of using fish products in the culinary arts. The benefits will be both mutual, the aquaculture producers will create added value and thus achieve a better price on the market, and consumers will have quality fish products from the local environment available, and they will have the opportunity to prepare their own fish meals.
