Name of measure: Conversion to eco-management and audit schemes and organic aquaculture
Legal basis: Article 53 of Regulation (EU) No 508/2014
Measure summary: Conversion to eco-management and audit schemes and organic aquaculture supports the conversion of conventional aquaculture production methods into organic aquaculture within the meaning of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007 and in accordance with Commission Regulation (EC) No 710/2009. Support shall take the form of compensation for a maximum of three years during the period of the conversion of the enterprise to organic production. The compensation is calculated on the basis of the loss of revenue or additional costs incurred during the period of transition from conventional into organic production.
Beneficiaries: Registered aquaculture companies and natural persons registered for supplementary activity of aquaculture on farms.
Intensity of public aid: The public aid intensity is 100 percent of the eligible expenditure of the operation.
