It is intended to obtain data for the estimation and trend of the number of specimens of porpoises that regularly appear in the sea under the jurisdiction of the Republic of Slovenia by the method of photo-identification. Information must be obtained for the purposes of nature conservation in Slovenia. How many large porpoises occur in the Slovenian sea and how many occur regularly was obtained through photo-identification of individual specimens of the porpoise. To determine the trend of occurrence, it makes sense to conduct repeated censuses.
