The main goal of the operation is the establishment of the RETECH Institute for Professional Fisheries and thus the creation of an institution that will take care of education, research and development of the small-scale coastal fisheries sector in Slovenian Istria within the Fisheries Cooperative. The vision of the operation implements the strategic goals of the Cooperative of Professional Fishermen and its members who want to raise the level of fishing by connecting coastal fishing operators on the Slovenian coast in terms of maintaining the fishing stock, as well as in terms of sustainable fishing tools and technologies and quality education of fishermen. The vision of the institute will be focused on connecting and transferring good practices and participating in projects that will enable Slovenian fishermen (not only members of the cooperative) economically sustainable and sustainable implementation of core activities and diversification of activities through cooperation with other sectors of the Coastal Economy common products.
