With the mapping of marine habitat types Natura 2000 in the Slovene sea, it is intended to obtain accurate precise data on three habitat types, HT 1110; Sandy Shores, permanently covered with a thin layer of water; HT 1120; Submarine meadows with Neptune grass (Posidonia oceanica) and HT 1170; Sea reefs. Information needs to be obtained for the needs of nature conservation in Slovenia or more specifically for the definition of conservation measures for marine biodiversity, the protection of the marine environment and the sustainable use of marine and coastal resources. Information on the status of selected Natura 2000 habitat types in the 0.5 km² area will be available to be used for reporting in accordance with Habitats Directive 92/43. The situation will be evaluated for the area of distribution, area, structure and function, and for prospects for the future habitat types.
