With the cartographic presentation and description of benthic habitat types in the Slovenian sea, including mapping and identification of the most probable areas which impact on habitat types is to modernize the contents of knowledge and use of benthic habitat types. The contents of the determination of the baseline state of the marine environment for the field of evaluation of the status of benthic habitat types were first carried out in the phase of implementation of the first cycle of the Marine Directive and in accordance with the legislation notified to the European Commission in 2013. The objective of the public procurement contract is the aggregation of existing data, which were obtained after 2012, on benthic habitat types and a graphical representation of the spatial distribution of benthic habitats in the Slovenian sea. In addition to the graphic representation of the spatial distribution of benthic habitats, existing data, on offshore activities and damage to the seabed (benthic habitat types) are included.
