The Soča Valley is an important European tourist center for water sports. The project is conceived as a tool in the development and construction of a long-term management regime for activities related to the Soča River and its tributaries. It will be created in the close connection of local actors - the Tolmin Fishing Family, Tourism of the Soča Valley, municipalities and the joint inter-municipal administration, as they are all aware of the challenges and responsibilities that the multitude of activities on the river bring. The project will provide a tool for measuring the intensity of navigation on the Soča River and thereby help to determine both the ecological and socio-economic carrying capacity of the Soča ecosystem and will thereby provide a basis for quality and efficient management of all activities on the river and ensuring their higher added value and sustainability .
