Name of measure: Added value, product quality and use of unwanted catches

Legal basis: Article 42 of Regulation (EU) No 508/2014

Measure summary: In order to improve the added value or quality of the fish caught, the EMFF may support:

• investments that add value to fishery products, in particular by allowing fishermen to carry out the processing, marketing and direct sale of their own catches

Beneficiaries: Support shall be granted to owners of fishing vessels.

Selection criteria

Intensity of public aid: The public aid intensity is 50 percent of the eligible expenditure of the operation. Operations in relation to small-scale fishing may be eligible for an increase of 30 percent.
